There are now more than 30 km of maintained cross-country skiing trails in three locations in Malá Fatra. Plus, with cross-country skiing, you’ll also be doing something good for your health.

Come for cross-country skiing in Malá Fatra, where the sport has a long and strong tradition. Every year, ski tours and races are held here. Beginners can rent complete cross-country ski equipment. If you haven’t tried cross-country skiing yet, you now have a unique opportunity to experience this beautiful winter sport. The regional tourism organization, if there are favorable snow conditions, maintains the cross-country skiing trails between Belá and Terchová, where almost 16 km of trail have been prepared for both classic and freestyle. Another excellent trail is the route on the Kysucká Magistrála between Krásno nad Kysucou and Nová Bystrica. The third location for cross-country skiing is the trail in Vrátna – Tiesňavy with beautiful views of the rock formations in Malá Fatra.
