Freeride and freestyle skiing and snowboarding in Vrátna! Enjoy skiing and snowboarding on ungroomed trails.

The Vrátna ski resort is a popular freeride zone. We recommend taking the cable car up to Snilovské Saddle and starting your freeride from there. Skiing takes place on hills with an average elevation of 1,500 – 1,700 meters. Up to an altitude of 1,200 meters, the terrain is mostly open grassy slopes and dwarf pine, and above 1,200 meters the forests begin. In total, when freeriding in Vrátna, you can descend 1,000 vertical meters.

Veľký Kriváň – skiing in the well-known Révaj basin with good snow conditions. It is a low avalanche area and not very steep, so it is also suitable for beginners. From Snilovské Saddle, you can descend beneath the cable car or through Oštiepková basin, one of the steepest slopes in Slovakia.

Other popular areas for freeride in Vrátna are Chleb (Chleb cirques), Bublen, and Stoh.
