Ski Resorts around Terchová

Terchová and its surroundings offer many options for skiing, both for demanding skiers and beginners. The nearest resort is Vrátna, but if you are interested in exploring other ski resorts, several of them are about an hour's drive away. There are three 5-star ski resorts in the area - Vrátna Ski Resort, Veľká Rača Ski Resort, and Kubínska hoľa Ski Resort.

Vrátna Free Time Zone 

A popular ski resort, it ranks among the top ski resorts in Slovakia. Skiers have access to 2 chairlifts and 13 lifts, with slopes totaling 18 km in length. The resort offers great conditions for freeride and freestyle, and includes a snowboard park. Night skiing is available every day. A Kids Park is prepared for children. The resort also offers cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering trails. Races are held at the resort every year.

SKI Centrum Gavurky

SKI Gavurky is located in Terchová, in the Biely Potok area. It is especially suitable for beginners and children. There are two 350m Poma lifts and one 100m children's lift available. The slope has artificial snowmaking, and there is a ski rental under the slope. For the little ones, there is a children's area on the slope.

SKI PARK Kubínska hoľa

The ski resort is located near Dolný Kubín. The breathtaking view from the slopes to the Low and West Tatras, Malá Fatra, and Chočské Hills offers an unforgettable skiing experience. Skiers have access to a 4-seater chairlift and 8 ski lifts. The total length of the downhill ski slopes is 13 km. The resort also offers 10 km of groomed cross-country trails. Other resort services: KIDS PARK with animators for children, a snowboard park with its own lift, a free-ride zone, and a timed slalom.

Snowparadise Veľká Rača 

Slovakia’s top resort with two 4-seater chairlifts and one 6-seater chairlift, combined with 8-person cable cars. The resort offers downhill ski slopes with a total length of 14 km and cross-country skiing trails. There is skiing in three areas - Dedovka, Marguška, and Laliky. Ski service and rental, children's area, and kindergarten are available. Night skiing, a bobsled track with year-round operation.

Winter Park Martinky

The Martinské hole ski resort is located on the peaks of the southern Malá Fatra, directly above the town of Martin. The resort offers a total of 12 km of slopes, including 9 km of easy and 3 km of intermediate difficulty. In addition to the chairlift, the resort has 6 other lifts. There's a ski kindergarten in operation at the resort. Snowboarders have a Funpark and freeriders can enjoy freeride slopes.

Športcentrum Malá Lučivná

The ski resort is located in the Zázrivá valley, between Zázrivá and Párnica. From Terchová, head towards Zázrivá, then to Párnica. You’ll find it on your right about 3 km before reaching Párnica. The ski resort is situated at an altitude of 502 meters above sea level. Skiers have access to a 1,375 m chairlift and 5 other lifts. Cross-country skiing is available nearby. The ski resort also offers: a ski-cross track, snowtubing, a baby lift, and a children's area.
