Vrátna Ski Resort

Skiing in Vrátna is an unforgettable experience for both young and old skiers, snowboarders, freeriders, ski mountaineers, and cross-country skiers. Vrátna is located in central Slovakia, in the beautiful nature of the Malá Fatra National Park. In the official evaluation, it achieved the highest 5-star rating and belongs among the top Slovak ski resorts.

Vrátna offers its visitors a total of 17 slopes with a total length of 14 km, 12 lifts, and 2 cable cars. The total maximum capacity of the facilities is 10,850 people/hour. The resort is located at an altitude of 600-1709 m above sea level.

Skiing in Vrátna Ski Resort takes place in 4 locations - Paseky, Poludňový grúň, Chleb, and Príslop. In addition to ski slopes, the resort also offers freeride zones and a snowboard park with 2 jumps and 5 obstacles in the Paseky area. You can also use 22 km of cross-country skiing trails and 19 km of ski mountaineering trails. Night skiing is available.

In the Paseky area, there is a 4-seater chairlift, three ski lifts, a children's park, and a ski school. Paseky has artificial snowmaking and night skiing.
In summer, the Paseky area has a BikePark with two trails - Enduro trail with a length of 2,300 m and a vertical drop of 380 m and Downhill trail with a length of 1,750 m and a vertical drop of 380 m. The chairlift is adapted for transporting bicycles.

The Poludňový grúň area is located above Paseky. There are 4 ski lifts in operation here, including a connection from the Paseky area.

The Chleb area is popular for freeriding. A gondola lift from Chata Vrátna will take you here, with the final station at Snilovské sedlo. This area is intended primarily for advanced skiers; skiing here is exclusively on natural snow.

For your little ones, there is a Kids Zone children's park. You can also use Babysitting on the Hill, where they will take care of your children while you ski. Non-skiers can enjoy the snowtubing track in the Paseky area. A free ski bus runs regularly from Žilina to the resort.

A wide range of services is a matter of course, such as a ski school, ski service, ski equipment rental, and a ski kindergarten. The road to the resort leads through the Tiesňavy gorge. There is plenty of parking space in the resort, and parking is free.
